The Internet Is Your Gateway To The World

Forever the computer fan, I’ve been a computer user since I was a kid, when my dad came home with a Commodore 64. The world of computing was very different then, and it seems like with every day that passes, technology advances at a massive rate. Nowadays with the help of the internet, you can find almost anything you want to know about.

Sitting now at my corner computer workstation, I can turn on my PC and chat with people all over the world, play a game of chess with a friend in another country, check my bank account, and even find a girlfriend. I can get help with a difficult math equation, or I can learn about the history of China, all from my desk without getting up.

The web opens up new worlds of opportunities. I was searching for ways to make money online, and believe me, there’s plenty. There’s so many things you can try, and without access to the web, I’d never have been able to connect to these ideas.

Some lucky people have managed to find ways of making passive income online while they earn their active income at work. You can do this by selling intellectual property, selling electronic books you’ve written, and more. Since the web’s open 24 hours a day, whether you’re awake or not, you can be earning. Do a web search on the subject and you’ll find a ton of ways you can get your share.

My favorite thing about the web is watching video clips. You can watch TV shows and clips from all over the globe, and hilarious original content that people create.

Blogging is a popular activity on the web. People ‘blog’ writing about any number of subjects. If you’ve got an interest in anything, there’s a blog about it. They’re free to create and anyone can start one. They can be about anything, from gardening to classical music, there’s plenty to read.

The online experience can be shared safely with your kids and entire family. There’s plenty of software packages available making the internet safe for kids by blocking web sites containing adult material, and keep them out of chat rooms they shouldn’t be in. As time goes on the internet will be everywhere, so it’s good for kids to learn about it when they’re young.
